Sofia looked down at her skirts. There was no mirror in the tent (she did not expect there to be, nor did she think of asking for one ), so she barely knew what she looked like. The skirt was light- no petticoat or hoops, simply floral fabrics stitched together. She wore her corset, now as decorated as a bodice, over her clothes opposed to underneath it, as most girls in the camp did; for the first time since she was a little girl, her curls loose.
